David Greske
One of David Greske’s first literary endeavor was a rip-off of the supernatural soap opera, Dark Shadows. Years later he is the author of over 30 short stories and 5 novels, and 4 screenplays. His stories have appeared in such publications as Black Ink Horror, The Literary Hatchet, and Nothing’ Sacred. Most recently “Mumbles” appeared in the inaugural issue of Horror Magazine. His stories “Next” and “Cyst” were featured podcast on The Wicked Library. Whistlestop, his sixth novel is scheduled for publication by Black Bedsheet Books in late spring/early summer of 2021.
Mark Allan Gunnells, who wrote the introduction to the author’s collection, Dark Tales for Darkest Nights, said: “Greske is a great wordsmith, but above all that, he’s a great entertainer….a storyteller at the top of his game.”
Regarding his novels, Blood River, his fourth book, was adapted into a full-length film by Christopher Forbes. Greske, along with Forbes, wrote the screenplay. It premiered in January 2013 at the Georgia Poison Peach Festival. The annual event, organized by Forbes, showcases a variety of films and animation by local and international filmmakers. Blood River is available on Amazon Prime Video and DVD.
The author, a member of the Horror Writer’s Association, lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with is partner of 35 years.
